Several Chamber members have created some great opportunities for local young people under the Government’s Kickstart scheme.
The scheme funds a 6 month, 25 hr a week, paid job and there’s support for the young person to help them make the most of the experience and plan what to do in the future. To be eligible for the opportunities, you must be under 25, have been claiming Universal Credit for at least a month and be available for 25 hrs work a week.

These are fantastic opportunities in the health, fitness and wellbeing sector for anyone who has ever dreamt of starting their own business.

Sampson Coward Solicitors – will have 2 positions as Legal Administrators mainly working on archiving documents, but you will also get some experience of other aspects of work in a solicitor’s office.
Evo-tec Installation (Security Systems) – will have roles in Admin, Marketing and Operations at their company based in Stratford sub Castle.
Scrace Architects will be looking for an Office Support Assistant and a Project Support Assistant
The Chapel – will have roles in event management, front of house, catering, bar management, and maintenance training up young people in all aspects of the hospitality and entertainment sector in four venues in Salisbury.

The Chamber is working with Supplytrain CIC, a Social Enterprise that works with employers to get young people into jobs. They are an approved Gateway Organisation for the Kickstart Scheme.
